The hotel is located within the Ringstrasse adjacent to the main shopping street, the Kartner Srasse and minutes from St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Opera. This is probably the most famous hotel in Vienna being the home of the legendary Sacher Torte. 18 kms to the airport (vienna international) 70 kms to the airport (milan ratislav stefanika) 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station (karlsplatz, oper) 5 km to the nearest station (westbahnhof) 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 5 km to the nearest fair site (reed exhibition)

This hotel is certainly a must for those desiring a glimpse of traditional Vienna and exceptional old-fashioned discreet service. It comes highly recommended
Exterior: The facade of the hotel is traditional in design with awnings in the hotel colours and huge flags representing some of the many nationalities who stay there.
Lobby: The lobby/reception area of the hotel is small and leads directly onto a bar and lounge area which has dark wood panelling and is decorated in impressive, traditional design.

Rooms
All of the rooms display a harmonic unity of tradition and contemporary comfort and feature an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Further facilities include a direct dial telephone, an Internet connection, satellite/ cable TV. All rooms have a minibar and a hire safe in addition to adjustable air conditioning.

Restaurant & Food
Following extensive renovation work the Anna Sacher restaurant is now radiant in bright green pleasantly offset by black furniture with golden highlights. This interior contrasts starkly with the straight, unpretentious line taken by Sacher's chef de cuisine Werner Pichlmaier in his contemporary, light interpretation of traditional Austrian cuisine. The restaurant Rote Bar with live background piano music, winter garden and direct view to the state opera, became the living room of the acteurs of the Viennese culture scene. In the Sacher Eck the dynamic young scene of Vienna meets for fine culinaric creations or a noble glass of Austrian wine.

Activities & Sport
The hotel offers guests the use of a gym, a sauna and a steam bath. There is also the option of relaxing with a massage (charges apply).
