This hotel can be accessed within a 1.5 hour drive from Malang through picturesque natural landscapes of rice fields and East Javanese villages. Guests can take air-conditioned taxi from Surabaya Airport. It is approximately 3,5 hours drive through a beautiful scenic road from Surabaya city.

As the oldest hotel in Indonesia, Hotel Tugu Blitar appears as a beautiful East Javanese mansion from the Dutch colonial times with giant white-washed pillars, furniture from the late 19th century and the early 20th century, nostalgic photographs and elegant chandeliers. Though located in the heart of town, the hotel's building blends into a large lawn of lush, hundreds-year-old tropical trees. This hotel used to be a house of colonial that was built since 1850's and used to belong to a distinguished family of Blitar. The building was carefully renovated to preserve its artistic, charismatic, and historical characters. Hotel boasts services including dry cleaning, laundry services, safe deposit boxes, postal & shipping services, secretarial services and magnificent restaurants with authentic Indonesian cuisines.
