Built as a replica of the architecture that still remains in the old sections of Phuket Town, this beach hotel provides guests with an historical alternative to the typical hotel holiday. The golden sands of Karon Beach stretch out to the Andaman Sea directly in front of the hotel. Phuket Town is a 25-minute drive away, whilst Phuket International Airport is 55 km from the hotel.

The 87-room hotel is a Sino-Portuguese-style creation that evokes memories of 19th century Southeast Asia. The atmosphere will take travellers back to the days of the spice trade, of tin mining, of Chinese junks plying the straits of Malacca and the golden age of travel before resorts and package tours. Newly opened in 2007, the hotel features 24-hour reception and has a hotel safe, an on-site bar and restaurant and Internet access. Room and laundry services are provided and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the hotel's own private car park.

Rooms

The guest rooms are en suite with shower, bathtub and hairdryer, and include facilities such as direct dial telephone, satellite TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. Individually regulated air conditioning units have been fitted in each room and balconies/terraces come as standard.
