This hotel is superbly located on the corniche, facing the Mediterranean Sea, and a 10 minute drive from downtown Beirut and close to the Hamra area and business district. 5 kms to city centre 8 kms to the nearest airport (beirut) 5 km to the nearest station (fouad chehab transport company) 5 km to the nearest fair site (biel) Close to the beach

The hotel underwent a major renovation in November 2011 and offers a wide range of recreational facilities including water sports as the famous Beach Lounge is part of the hotel and can be accessed through an underground tunnel connected to the hotel.
Exterior: This is one of the most recognisable hotels in the Middle East looking proudly out across the bay.
Lobby: The reception area is large and attractive in design. Two large lifts are available. A Japanese restaurant adjoins the ground floor.There is a number of sofas in the centre ensuring a comfortable check in.

Rooms
Rooms are large, quiet and well furnished. Many come with a view across the pool and the sea. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, a hairdryer, a minibar, a direct dial telephone, a satellite TV, a radio, tea and coffee making facilities, a double or king-sized bed, a safe, heating and air conditioning. A balcony or terrace also comes as standard.

Restaurant & Food
The hotel offers a range of dining facilities: - Au Bar: located in the lobby serving light snacks and beverages. Opening times from 08:00am till 01:00am - Au Gros Sel: located on the crashing shores of the Mediterranean Sea serving Mediterranean Seafood specialty and International Cuisine. Open year round from 06:00am till 01:00am - Riviera Prive at the Island: located in the heart of Riviera's Beach Lounge open from May till October - Pool Bar: located at the Beach Lounge and serving cocktails. Open from May till October

Activities & Sport
There is an olympic-size pool with a large terrace on site, complete with poolside snack bar and parasols. The hotel hosts a scuba diving school in addition to a gym, a sauna, a steam room, a massage service and a yacht club. There is a golf course just 15 minutes by car from the hotel.
